In Response To: 2 old dressers (marilyn)

Not knowing what condition they are in I would recommend the least invasive approach.....cleaning them. Scrube them down gently with naptha and 00 steel wool. When it dries cleanit again with Minwax Wood Cleaner. I've become a big fan of the stuff as it takes off a heck of a lot of dirt. When it dries put on a coat of a good paste was made for wood and buff. I usually buff with 0000 steel wool or 3M white synthetic steel wool (if you can find them). This approach will put the finish in its best possible condition short of stripping and refinishing. Scratches can be touched up with wax sticks or the wood colored magic markers Minwax makes. Touch up after waxing though, as you may remove your touchup when you buff out the wax.
