Stripping Antique Furniture

I have a Cherry table purchased used in the 1890's by grandparents. It has since been refinished two or three times. I am planning on stripping the "Marvathane" (1960's Sherwin-Williams product) but am concerned about damaging the joints made with hide glue.

Any ideas on the products that might remove the finish without damaging the joints?

Thanks,

Darwyn Briggs
