In Response To: Hollow wood, profiles (Marek Struk)

Hi Marek, I am not aware of a supplier for what you're looking for....I've had to adapt other methods to create these profiles in the past...one option is a bendable plywood called "wiggleboard" that can be easily bent around some wood supports to form radius's or 1/4 rounds, "S" shapes etc. I don't think it's practical for someone to produce something like this because it's not a common thing and the radius's will all be different depending on the use....there are also companies that build hollow porch and architectural columns with stave construction that could be adapted perhaps....or building a stave construction of your own is also possible...I have a friend that ripped PVC pipe in half and then veneered it for a mantle detail and it came out pretty darn well...
