While looking in an "antique" store, i came across an old roll top desk. It had a plate on the top front that looked like it said "H. Anderson, Chicago, New York". The desk is supposed to date from sometime in the 1800's, has several several coats of paint on it. I was wondering if anyone was familiar with this company, and if the desk was worth trying to strip and refinish. The wood appears to be in good shape, all the hardware is still on it, the only problems I could see was where someone had drilled a hole in the side for a electrical or phone cord. Thanks
