It sounds like a pretty nice chest, and if you're going to turn it into a vanity, mounting a sink and all, I would guess you'll be refinishing it too so I'd have the original feet restored. Anything else would be VERY noticeable and would detract from the piece considerably. Are the feet the typical claw and ball type where the talons reach around the ball? Or are they just straight toes sticking out from the front?
