ANTIQUE FURNITURE RESTORATION DISCUSSION BOARD

Antique Mirror.

I have an antique mirror which belonged to my grandmother and was handed down to my mother and then to me. This mirror is in 5 different pieces. If you could visualize a picture frame, that is what the mirror looks like. The "frame" portion is made up of four seperate pieces of mirror, plus the part which would represent the glass in a picture frame. My problem is that one of the "frame" portions has broken. It has a wavy exterior side, with a slight bevel or ribbon look to it, and the inside part is straight. It also has a frosted design on it. I would like to either have the piece repaired or have a duplicate piece made to replace the broken piece. I am in the process of checking into glass companies, but so far, things are not looking good.
