Hi Jim, I'm not familiar with "Spray 9"....if the leather is painted, then your really cleaning a painted surface....I'd start with warm water with some liquid dishwasing soap added to it and work with a dampened cloth, like an old wash cloth...taking care not to get the surface really wet. work in small sections and dry thoroughly as you go. James has a lot of experience with trunks, so I'm hoping he'll chime in her soon....
