I own a windsor rocker with bow back, plank seat and knuckle arm rests. it is in excellent and sturdy condition with the original finish that has aged to a beautiful patina. under the seat there is a paper lable that reads " haywood-wakefield. chicago" it does carry a inventory number that has faded and I can't quite read it. though I know this is not a restoration question , I have been looking for years to find out any info on this piece.I did find a haywood-wakefield book , but it mostly discussed their blonde and danish furnishings with a little history.this is definately early american in style. not oak and I am not sure about the exact wood. I would appreciate any info or ideas that could lead me to the right place for my questions. thank you, amy
