I recently inhereted my grandma's 1940's Mahogany Duncan Pyfe china cabinet and I was trying to clean it up. Due to my grandma being a heavy smoker for 60 years and not taking care of it for 20years. I used Scott's liquid gold and, Pledge orange wood cleaner and also Lemon oil. After using the Scott's a dull finish appeared on some spots mostly were it would have been touched alot over the years and also some rust or orange color came off. What did I do wrong and what can I do to fix this? I'm just sick over it because this was my grandmother's.
