50s Bedroom Set

Hello! I was just given my grandparents 1952 solid cherry bedroom set. It has been in their empty house for the past two or three years. Without any climate control, the walls of the old house started to mold and there are some mold spots on the surface of the furniture. It does not appear to penetrate the finish and scrapes off easily with a finger nail. The finish is dull and worn in spots where things sat for at least 20 years. I am curious how to remove the mold and restore the finish without hurting anything. The dressers also have what appear to be brass drawer pulls. They are slightly green with tarnish. What can I use to polish them that won't hurt the wood? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks! Tarisa
