Please can you help me , i am trying to have my grand mothers old chairs recovered but the springs in the back need replacing and the upholsterer cant find anyone to make them. the chairs were made in the 1940/1950 and to try and explain what they look like ... there is a long piece of straight metal and attatched to each "strap of metal" are 3 coil springs set at a distance apart there are 3 straps in each chair and 5 in the sofa . the man said he had never come accross them before . if you can help id be eternally gratefull hes had them since april of this year .Regards Sue
