The only problem with Rogers suggestion is that you'll be dead and gone before you get the look you want. A good restorer CAN antique any piece to add patina and many years of "age" to a new piece while you're still alive...but as I said. it's a skill and not for a novice....as one can easily ruin it as well. I have spent the better part of my life hiding my work so it can't be seen by doing just this when repairing and replacing parts, or building reproductions, so I speak from some experience in the matter...
