Woodworm

I have discovered some very small holes in one side of an oak recliner that I am still restoring. It has been stored outside in the upper part of an unheated garage in Nova Scotia for as long as I can remember ( I'M 45 years old). There does not appear to be many holes and they do not appear to be drilled or nail holes. They are only in one side pane of the piece. How can I tell if this is woodworm, and if it is how do I treat it or would any bugs be long gone by now.

Any help appreciated.
