Do the chair glides fit over a solid metal leg? Take a 12 inch adjustible (Crescent) wrench and tighten it on the leg above the glide and tap it off. I have the same problem with my chairs every time they need changing. If that dont work then a small hand grinder with a carburundum blade can be used to just slit the glide enough to remove it. Works for me. Good Luck.
