I just purchased 2 Drexel (prior to Drexel Heritage) dressers. The one in need of repair is the long one with a mirror. At some point or another, a piece of the veneer at the bottom of the dresser peeled back and broke off. I have the piece of veneer and would like to glue it back on. What type of glue would be the best? Modern wood glue or hide glue? Also what can I use to fill in and hide the joined broken edges of the veneer?
