You have a very rare machibe indeed, probobly made around 1894. If you can remove the drawer there is a lable or sticker to indicate production year and to whom it was sold. Your machine is not silver, it is nickle plated over wrought iron. It is very expensive to re-nickle. The flags will probobly need to be stripped, sanded and repainted. The wood base and drawer will need to be re-finished. The inner components should be cleaned with gunk, a spray used to degrease car engins, re-lubed and inspected. Assuming your marble or milk glass shelf is OK you just clean it. Not knowing what condition your buttons are in or their numbers, these also may need replacing. You can purcase a new base and have your flags repained if needed @HBAC in New York State by calling 607-792-3343. Restored your machine should be worth around $2500.00 to $3000,00, you cannot do the plating yourself, but it's worth doing to a very rare machine that will only continue to go up in price. It's not worth much unrestored, perhaps only 250-300 dollars. This Company like all the others were gobbled up by National and created a true NCR Monopoly.
