T88 is the strongest epoxy and the only one appoved by the FAA for wooden airplane repair. Both T88 and glass beads can be obtained from System Three. systemthree.com As long as the break is at an angle greater than 45 degrees and is a good fit, the epoxy will usually be sound, for most woods. If the break is perpendicular to the grain you will need to insert a dowel into the middle of the break, and at a size of about 1/2 of the girth. Cross dowels will weaken the repair, as will nails and screws.
