I have an old cedar meat safe that I would like to restore. The stile on the hinge side of the door has been broken, The bottom tenon has broken cleanly,This could be repaired with a loose tenon. But the top mortise has broken out and there are peices of the timber missing. Can anyone offer advice on the proper way to repair this, should I glue it back together and hope for the best, Put in a new piece of timber, Or replace the stile.
