Jeff- Yu didn't mention in which direction this foot broke. If it's the circumference with large enough diameter, I'd first clean all wood glue from both sections. Avoid chipping at the wood. If necessary carefully use small amt. of stripper to dissolve glue. [You can wrap wide layers of tape on outside to help eliminate destroying finish]Then measure, drill & glue dowel into one section. Glue both sections together including sufficient amount in hole & both sides of exposed area. Clean excess from outside before clamping. Allow to dry according to instructions & it should be good to go! I still wouldn't let anyone lean on your lovely table!
