Restoring Colonial Maple

I have a Colonial Maple dining set consisting of four chairs, a drop leaf table with a folding center extension and a one drawer, two shelf buffet hutch. The set is stamped on the bottom "917-1 Maple". I bought the set about twenty years ago in Vermont. The set has been moved all over the country and has received many dings and deep scratches. The chairs are loosing their color and varnish as well as coming unglued. I started sanding off the finish on two of the chairs and began to experiment with matching the original color. I cannot find a way to do it. The original finish is a beautiful deep reddish brown turning to yellow in worn areas. The stain is close to Cushman made furniture but a little darker, richer, and less yellow-orange. Could you tell me who made this and how to refinish it with matching stain? This is my first project and your help would be much appreciated.
