The carpathian elm burl is still avaible in fairly large and often unruley pieces. Today the paper backed veneer industry has greatly simplified this problem. We can now purchase a high quality smooth flat and presanded sheep in very large sections. I do have some paper backed veneer of this species on hand. You may wish to purchase a slightly larger piece so you have a broader matching option. This is one of the more expensive veneers avaible and often comes in a double set of sheets for book matching purposes, so even this can add expense, but what good would one leg be without the other?
