It is possible to get some oxalic acid water to seep below the finish, as has the offending water. use an artists brush or Q tip to lightly wet the area where the darkness appears. Once the stains have been removed wipe off any remainig dust allow to dry then you can clear up the blush if any from the finish with a light mist of alcohol from a spray bottle. Wax with a paste wax and buff to a shine.
