In Response To: antique commode (k carver)

Certainly, The term commode refers to the indoor toilet of previous days. A pitcher of water stood inside the wash basin, (sink) and the chamber pot went inside the small door, (toilet) all the washing and shaving was done here. The drawere were where the clean towels, soap, razor and such were kept. A bit of history and johnny.
