I recently burned the top of my kitchen table with a very hot iron while ironing "Iron On Transfers" on t-shirts for my kindergarten class field day. The table top is wood....but I'm not sure what kind...it is the kind of regular kitchen table with wooden top and white legs...very common. I could use some ideas how to restore the table top. It wasn't an expensive table but was a gift from my parents who are both now deceased...so it means a lot to me. Please e-mail me with any suggestions. My husband seems to remember reading somewhere that a common household product when applied can restore...but he can't remember what it is. Thanks for your help!!
