The moisture has caused the structure of the finish to disrupt it's clarity. The idea is to soften the finish long enough to allow the moisture to evaporate and the finish will refurn to it's original look. I took a blush out of a shellac finish today by simply wiping some denatured alcohol over it in a quick brisk once over. You could choose to clean the finish with paint thinner and apply a fresh coat of shellac and polish when dry with 0000 steel wool and wax to a satin shine. I have used a simple light coat of spray shellac to remove a blush and then use the steel wool.
