The stains on the drawers are apt to be pemanent without some very invasive procedures like strippin and or bleaching. The musty odor may go away if you leave the box open where it can dry thoroughly on the inside then treat with fabreeze. You should be aware that the musty odor is frequently caused by mold which can cause an alergic reaction.
