I was given my grandmother's bedroom suite from the early 40's. It is in pretty good shape except for where the metal bedframe attaches to the headboard the wood is beginning to split. I am sure it is from stress. I want to put the bedroom suite in my son's room but I am afraid that the stress will be too much without some type of repair. Can this be repaired? If so, how?
