It is probably not the lacquer which has darkened, but the wood. You will need to find a stain that will darken the wood to match then lacquer over. The color you use should be slighly lighter than the existing because the top coats will make it appear to darken. You might waqnt to test in a hidden apot to see how much difference the top coat will make.
