we have a very nice white oak commode intirely stripped,the grain appears to be quite open.we would like to apply a light walnut stain,any suggestions, should i use sanding sealer frist, what type of stain should we use,and what type of clear to finnish ,this is our first attempt at refinishing, any advice would be welcome
