James, I have located a source for obtaining the spray lacquer in aerosol and perhaps Woodcraft will have the touch up markers. If not I will look into speciality supply catalogs. I did not understand that lacquer could be applied over a poly finish without "wrinkling" results. Or it the other way; a poly clear cannot be applied over a lacquer stain? Can I get some help on compatibility here:

Over an oil stain there are no constraints - am I correct on this? Over a lacquer stain, what is permissable? Lacquer is ok, but is Poly ok? Is it different in reverse, that is over a poly clear coat is a lacquer clear ok?

I am asking because I had a problem once and if I recall it was when I put a lacquer touch up over a poly clear, but my memory may be a problem here. Obviously some help is in order. Thanks and appreciate any help, Doyle
