mission bookcase stain match?

Hello I have a original mission style book case with 3 glass doors. One door had half the frame missing and one leg had been broken off.The peice looks to be in very good shape overall. The sides look to have had the top coat or varnish removed but most of the original stain is in the wood. The rest of the cabanit has never been touched. When i wipe the sides with mineral spirits it has a nice deep color to it.But when it drys it looses it shine.I have had a cabinet maker remake the one door frame and i have fixed the broken leg.Now how should i refinish the cabinet. And how do i try to match the origanal dark mission color on the new door and where the repair is.I dont want to strip anything more off if i dont have to.And im not to familiar with varnishes or laquers. But i am a fast learner......Thanks for any advise....Gordy
