I use vinrgar to remove pet urine from a finish, as well as fine steel wool. The oder is best removed with diluted laundry bleach, when possible, but this and the urine will cause a darkening on raw metal. As for upholstery, try a good store bought foaming spray, but in a pinch I have removed it from a white fabric with distilled white vinegar, denatured alcohol, a very good cotton rag and a lot of rubbing.
