Cleaning/Restoring Old Glass Knobs

Hello,

Kitchen circa 1929 we're refacing the cabinets but want to put the original glass knobs back on the new cabinet doors. These are old faceted knobs that have no screws - they're one-piece with threads in the actual glass.

They're in good shape but there has been drips of paint on them and grease around the facets, and also a few have some "yellowing". I'm wondering what's the best chemical or method to use on these to restore as much of the sparkle as possible without damaging them.

Thanks,

Eq
