In Response To: repairinr and refinnishing veneer (Christy Morton)

I bought an antique table at an auction a few months ago. I had stored it in a dry, temperature controlled room. Too make a long story short we had central air conditioning installed in our house and the installer put an airconditioning pipe above the table. Not realizing what was going to happen. moisture dripped on the table causing the vaneer to warp badly. We did not discover this for a few weeks. I have heard that you can iron the vaneer to streighten out the warping. Is this true? I am afraid to try until someone gives me more information on how to do this or what I can do to repair the warping. Was going to be an absolutly beautiful table. Mike
