Try automotive paint and trim shooops or marinas. I have seen press apply stips for cars and boats that would serve to replace the vinyl strip. The vinyl strip is probably glued to the aluminum trim with some form of contact cement and can be remove by putting mineral spirits or lacquer thnner behind the vinyl.
