gumwood cabinet

I am trying to restore a built in antique cabinet made out of gumwood, and do not know what kind of stripper to use to remove the layers of paint. The most recent layer is definitely latex, but I can see that there are sublayers of older paint that might be oil-based. What should I use to strip the paint off that will not harm the gumwood? Thanks in advance!!!
