ironstone repair

I just received an ironstone flow blue pitcher/basin set which I purchased from ebay. Although the price was right $400, it is not as advertised, there is a four inch old, tight crack from about the middle of the pitcher to the base. Can it be repaired? or will it cost more than it is worth and should be returned? Thank you for your time. It is pretty and I do like it. I don't know how repairs affect the overall value.
