I much prefer the oil look to varnish, it gives it a much more pleasing natural look. What sort of oil finish would you recommend for pine? Preferrably something that won't change the colour too much. What sort of wax, as well. Sorry to be such a pain.. so many questions!

Guess I'll find a nice block of karri to rest my toaster on :) Thanks again!
