Hello Carol, I suggest re-using the coil springs and horsehair in the reupholstery process. When done correctly, - springs tied, new webbing below, and a muslin fabric between the finishd covering - it's proven comfort. Your sitting position will be a better fit and you won't feel the horsehair.
