In Response To: stripper on metal (Tim Judson)

there are many strippers that contain no caustic soda, but I have not noticed any negative effects from stripped on metals. But then I always try to remove the residues as soon as possible with clean water, or lacquer thinner, then coat with WD40 to prevent rusting. The water around and under the metal is what I look out for, black stains may result.
