Either of these glues will work about the same in this manner, low heat is fine. I like to use Liquid Hide glue for this since it is the same glue type, and is reversable, but it will reliquify the old glue in most instances, none of the other glues will do that. Once you use a CA glue or a PVA glue you have blocked the grain with a glue that will not reliquify, as opposed to hide glue. If the PVA or CAglues don't work the first time you won't have any option but to remove the veneer and clean off the glue and reglue it all back down. Not a pretty picture for me, since all these glues do the same thing and work in almost the same time frame. I have a lot of trouble getting the modern glues off of a failed joint under perfect conditions, let alone inside a veneer bubble.
