ANTIQUE FURNITURE RESTORATION DISCUSSION BOARD

Antigue picture frames.

I recently inherited an antigue Federal period convex "Bulls Eye" mirror set in a square frame. The design on four corners appear to be plaster on wood and gold gilded. Two of the corners have complete designs but the bottom two are chipping or a couple pieces missing. I will need to mold the good relief in order to restore the missing areas. What company would you suggest to buy supplies such as rubber mold materials, plaster, and gilding products to restore. Are there different types of plaster and gilding products and how do I know what I will need. Also, I have an antigue watercolor picture with mildew on picture itself. What do I use to clean the picture?
