repair broken wicker doll's cradle

We have a wicker doll's cradle that has been in the family for over 100 years. It has more than a dozen broken pieces of wicker in the openwork area that covers the bonnet of the cradle. The pieces run all the way from the wooden bottom of the cradle to the top and bend over to form a bonnet at the head end of the cradle. They are about 3/8" in diameter. Any thoughts on how to go about repairing this? The long pieces are held in place by horizontal pairs of wicker strands twined together at long intervals. Thanks! Grace
