ANTIQUE FURNITURE RESTORATION DISCUSSION BOARD

leather top table

I have a leather topped table, a round 'coffee table' with gold-embossed leather inset nearly the size of the top. It has a few scratches in the leather, and an odd white spot that looks like paper residue. It also appears to have been either damp or heat-damaged in one area, as it's lost a bit of its gloss. Are there any effective ways to treat the leather for these problems? I also have two other small incidental tables with the same tops, and I'm trying to get them all back to the best condition possible.
