Since it says on the lable that no thinning is needed, just a little retarder may be all that is needed. Tempreture is vitale to good lacquer coating, at least 65 degrees. Also don't try to sand all the orange peel at once unless the coats are fairly thick already. Do the sanding in a sand & coat, sand & coat, process till all is level.
