Repairing warped bedpost

I have an old rope bed that has been passed down through several generations in the family. It was converted several years ago with new side rails to convert it to a fullsize bed. Overall the bed is in good shape but the left leg at the foot of the bed is warped, curving inwards towards the right leg. The entire post is probably just over 3 feet in height. The top 2 feet are relatively straight with only the last 10"-12" showing any curve.

Is there an easy way to try and reduce the warping? I don't know anything about steaming.

Thanks,

Wes
