In Response To: rope bed (john elias)

A standard double bed is about 55wide and 72 long I have made new rails for rope beds to increas the length and width and I think this one is close enough to the standard witdth that you could do that in this case. You can get bolts from Van Dykes check their website at: Vandykes.com. You could als rebuild the existing rails by putting drilling out the old pegs and replacing them with new ones that protrude from the rail ledge about 1".
