In Response To: Repair to Brass Inlay (Bill Sprott)

The brass should be reattatched using hot hide glue. If you do not have access to hot hide you can buy liquid hide at most Lowe's or Home Depot stores. If you use Liquid hide the brass will nee to be clamped or weighted in place until the glue sets. If you use hot hide it will tack as soon as it cools so the brass can be pressed in plae and held briefly.
