ANTIQUE FURNITURE RESTORATION DISCUSSION BOARD

woodworm in antique clock

I have recently imported an antique granddaughter clock from Scotland. Unfortunately it has signs of woodworm. How can I best treat this and ensure no further deterioation? (I have been advised that the most common chemicals to treat the problem are banned in Canada.) Should I have the damage(ie. holes)repaired? What would be the best method? Thanks very much for any information you can provide.
