In Response To: Replacing "leather" seats on oak chairs (Lee)

Thank you so very much for this super advice--I was wondering about using the same holes--whether one should try to, or not. This adive is really helpful and I will let you folks know what I find when I pry off the stuff that's there at the moment. It never occurred to me that there might be something kind of neat underneath--I did think that the vinyl "leather" cover job was probably something not original to the chairs. They are old. Just straight back oak, nothing special but the present deat covers don't do justice. I will be back, and many thanks
